Як я файно вчора погуляла!!! Вийшла я вже під вечір, спустилася до Поштової площі й просто блукала Подолом поки не стемніло. Мертвий півень у навушниках, Цукор біла смерть на футболці та квас в руці. Стільки людей сидять в кафешках, гуляють, сміються, розмовляють, кудись йдуть і я розчиняюся поміж цього натовпу. Більше, насправді, нічого сказати. Я собі ходила, сьорбала білий квас, дивилася на голубів та історичні будівлі в променях заходу сонця. У мене є фотоапарат ще з 2005 року, я на нього трошки пофоткала. Під час таких прогулянок мені так добре на душі, я почуваюся такою живою! Сьогодні знову піду кудись бродити коротше.

I've been hating myself lately. I despise how I handle certain social situations and embarass myself quite often. For some reason though creating something beautiful helps me alleviate my self-loathing, so I devoted this weekend to creative pursuits. I decorated my bag and jacket(I'll add the photos to my workshop page). So pleased with how they turned out!!!
Yesterday I went on such a lovely walk, really enjoyed it. Also my neighbor randomly gave me a plastic mannequin, so I'm thiking what to do with it.

Summer's ended, school's started. The first week has been pretty chill so far and I like our schedule this year. I finally met one of my very best friends too, missed them a lot!!! I've been so sleepy and tired this week since I was forced to abandon my nocturnal lifestyle. I went skateboarding yesterday! Literally had to blow spider webs off my board because it laid forgotten in the dark corners of my balcony all summer. Even though riding is pretty much the only thing I can do, it was still so incredibly enjoyable! I practiced manuals too. Right now I can only hold one for scarcely a second, a bit more if I get lucky, but still I felt a tiny bit of improvement by the end of the session. I wanted to go today too, but my hip and leg are kind of sore from yesterday haha.

My summer holidays are coming to an end and I feel like I didn't do enough during them, but despite that I consider them well-spent! I went to my grandparents' village, to the sea, I sewed, painted, made jewellery, had a great time with my friends and met some new people too:) I got to hang out with my childhood friend and it was so amazing to see her from a compeltely new side!!! I also started a plenty of new books, which I'm really enjoying so far.
The first one is "Orlando" by Virginia Woolf, which I begun in July, but haven't picked up for a long time. It's honestly a huge vibe, but I didn't read enough to really have many thoughts on it. The second one is a book on the history of Carpathian tourism and, well, it's interesting. The next is a book called "Violet shadow", and it is an anthology of Ukrainian mystical prose from around XIX-XX centuries. IT'S SO GOOD!!!!! It fills exactly the niche I crave as someone who adores 19th century gothic literature, loves my Ukrainian culture and wants to get to know ukrlit better. These tales of cossacks, witches, devils and other supernatural creatures captivate me! I have a couple favourites, but overall I enjoyed every short story in this compiliation that I've read. The last one I want to point out is "Colony" by Max Kidruk. It's a 900 page brick of hard science fiction and it tells the tale of life on Earth and colonised Mars in 2141. I haven't read much science fiction, but I think it's so good for its genre!!! The book is very long and scientific, but I get through it so easily. The explanations of all the scientific phenomena, technology, new diseases, logistics of life on Mars are extremely detailed, but at the same time are not dragged out and are really interesting to read! Overall I find the book absolutely amazing, captivating and I eagerly await the second book.
What else to add? This year of school is going to be my last and then there will be preparation, exams, university application and all that... But I'm confident that I'll succeed. I know where I want to study and I have all the resources to prepare well!
